flash preseason: The NBA Development League released its seven-game preseason schedule today which includes the Utah Flash meeting the Idaho Stampede in Burley, Idaho on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. The game is one of five D-League exhibitions that will be played at out-of-market venues.

flash camp: The first-ever Utah Flash training camp gets underway on Nov. 10 and runs through Nov. 23. Seventeen players will report, trying to earn their way to a spot on the final 10-player roster. D-League rosters can expand to 12 with the assignment of first or second-year NBA players from the Utah Jazz and/or Boston Celtics.

the draft: Obviously nothing in the preseason can happen without the annual NBA Development Draft, which takes place on Nov. 1. The 10-round draft, with live drop ins and interviews from the Flash Draft Party, will be carried live on NBA TV. The pre-draft show begins at 6 p.m. MT and live actual draft coverage will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. MT.

peek into the war room: Flash fans can get an inside and up-close look at how a professional basketball draft works by being able to look right into the war room at the Flash Draft Party at the Pinnacle Security Gym, located at 1290 Sandhill Road in Orem. Food, fun, insight on draft picks from Flash general manager David Fredman and head coach Brad Jones, NBA TV's draft coverage on the theatre big screen and the Jazz-Rockets game on flat screens as well. meet first flashers: Flash expansion draft selections Brian Jackson and James Lang are expected to be in Orem for the Flash regular draft party on Nov. 1. Both would be available for photos and autographs.

season opener: The inaugural Utah Flash season opens in Orange County, Calif. against the Anaheim Arsenal on Nov. 24. The Flash finishes the two-game road swing with a trip to the Staples Center to meet the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Nov. 25.

home opener: red carpet...search lights...paparazzi...fireworks...lasers...Keller Williams Kid's Zone...a blimp...PMI Ballboys...the best basketball players in the world not already in the NBA...and, oh yeah, a game might also break out on Nov. 27 at the McKay Events Center in Orem. Tip at 7. Come early, bring a friend.
