Utah Flash News Release

PROVO, Utah, Oct. 22, 2009 - After seven days of surviving winds, rain, cold, loneliness and fatigue, the Flash Fox will finally be able to descend from his billboard on I-15 when the Flash reach their goal of 500 season tickets. The 10 remaining tickets are expected to be purchased at 4:30 p.m. by The Tax Club.

During the past seven days the Fox, and the Utah Flash staff that has supported him, have gained a new appreciation for the difficulties of living without a roof over head. To celebrate this amazing effort and to show what has been learned The Utah Flash and the Tax Club will donate 10 meals to the homeless for each of the last 10 season tickets sold, 100 meals in total.

It is expected that the Flash will reach its projected ticket goal this afternoon at 4:30 p.m., when The Tax Club will purchase the final 10 remaining tickets. A longtime Flash friend and supporter, The Tax Club will join forces with the Utah Flash to donate 100 meals to aid Utah County homelessness. This is Fox's seventh day living near the American Fork Main Street exit on I-15, and he will finally be coming down this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

"We're proud of the work Fox has done this past week," said Team President Joe Brown. "We hope this contribution will help those in the community who are in hard circumstances. Fox has survived some difficulties while he's been up on the billboard, and he has a new appreciation for people facing similar circumstances."

"I've been tired, I've been lonely and I've been hungry," said Fox through a spokesperson. "I can't wait for my feet to touch the ground. But this has opened my eyes to what many people in our community face every day and I'm excited for the Utah Flash to make a contribution to helping these people. I refuse to come down until these tickets are sold, and now I have an even stronger determination."

Not only has Fox been living on the billboard, but he has had also had a webcam tracking all activity 24/7, a Ustream chat online, constant Facebook and Twitter updates along with a continuous countdown of the number of season tickets left to sell. The Fox's week-long adventure on the billboard will come to an end at 4:30 p.m. when the final 10 season tickets are purchased.

Season ticket holders, friends, and media are invited to attend as the Fox comes off the billboard for the first time in over a week. The gathering will take place at 366 West 200 South in American Fork, Utah.
