Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Sean Flanagan has been signed to an Amateur Tryout Agreement. In a separate transaction, the Royals placed forward Matt Salhany on the ECHL Reserve List.
Flanagan (6'1 / 186) (24), who hails from Kindersley, Saskatchewan, recently completed his senior season at Minnesota State University-Mankato where he picked up sixteen points (5g-11a) and twenty-six penalty minutes in thirty-nine games for the Mavericks. A three-time member of the WCHA All-Academic Team, Flanagan recorded fifty-four points (13g-41a) and fifty-six penalty minutes in 140 total collegiate games at MSU-Mankato.
