Flames Reduce Training Camp Roster by Four

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have reduced their training camp roster by four players. Forwards Michael Ferland, Corban Knight and Max Reinhart have been assigned to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League while defenseman Keegan Kanzig has been returned to the Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League.

The Calgary Flames have 28 players remaining at camp (3 goalies, 9 defensemen, 16 forwards). Opening day roster is due for submission to the NHL on September 30th.

The Flames will open the 2013-14 season on October 3rd at the Washington Capitals. The home opener for the Flames is October 6th versus the Vancouver Canucks at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
