Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled defenceman Derek Smith from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.
Smith has played 11 games with the Flames this season and 5 games with the Heat.
Additionally, the Flames placed Curtis Glencross on injured reserve due to a lower body injury suffered today against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
