Rosemont, Ill. --- The Chicago Wolves and center Keith Aucoin needed only 27 seconds to finish off the Milwaukee Admirals in overtime, claiming a 2-1 win in an Amtrak Rivalry game on Sunday afternoon at Allstate Arena

Right wing Mark Mancari's fourth goal in four games was the lone regulation tally for the Wolves. Goaltender Matt Climie (3-5-0) kicked out 24 of 25 shots through regulation and overtime.

"We haven't had a great home record and to win three home games this week was special," said Wolves head coach John Anderson. "We beat a good team tonight and I hope to pick up this momentum after the Christmas break."

Mancari opened scoring 8:31 into the second period to give the Wolves (15-12-0-2) the lead with a tip-in past Admirals goaltender Magnus Hellberg. Right wing Tyler Shattock found the puck on the boards and sent a backhand pass to center Pat Cannone. He skated the puck around the perimeter to the blue line and blasted a shot on net, which Mancari deflected in from just outside the crease.

Milwaukee (14-7-5-1) tied the score on a power play at 14:41 of the middle frame. While on the man-advantage, right wing Taylor Beck was sprung on a breakaway. Moving in alone on Climie, Beck released a low shot that eluded Climie on his stick side.

Following a scoreless third period, Aucoin beat Hellberg early in the extra session to give the Wolves their third consecutive win. Aucoin picked up the puck in the corner of the offensive zone, battled with an Admirals player to claim possession, made a move toward the net and tapped it behind Hellberg to end the game. The goal enabled the 35-year-old Aucoin to move into eighth place on the American Hockey League's all-time scoring list with 822 points.

Hellberg (4-11-1) finished the night with 35 saves.

Chicago travels next to Lake Erie to face the Monsters at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the first game of a doubleheader. The Wolves return to Allstate Arena on Sunday, Dec. 29, to finish off a three-in-three at 4 p.m. against Charlotte. For tickets, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES or visit ChicagoWolves.com.
