Friday, Jan. 26 Port Huron 2 @ Flint 4

Flint scored the first two goals of the night, but Robert Snowball retaliated near the end of the first period, with a power play goal assisted by Steve Hildenbrand and Bobby Kukulka. Mark Cadotte tied it up in the second, off a Snowball assist. Late in the third Flint took the go-ahead goal and then sealed the victory with an empty-netter in the final 20 seconds.

Despite multiple scoring opportunities, the only goal of the night came in the third from Quad City, giving them the edge and their first win in McMorran all season.

Team Notes

- The Flags loss to Quad City on Saturday was their seventh straight, setting a record for the longest skid in the league this season. Coincidentally, the 9-game unbeaten streak in December is the league's longest non-loss streak of the season.

- McMorran held 2,529 fans on Saturday, the largest home crowd of the season

- The Flags suffered their first loss of the season to Quad City at home on Sat.

- Brad Smith took his first start as a Flag on Friday night against Flint and finished the weekend with a .937 rating

- Left Wing Mike James was signed on Friday, adding to the Flags forward line, in jersey no. 19.

- Port Huron starts a 3-game road trip on Wednesday, circling from Elmira to Quad City on Saturday, with a stop in Muskegon on Friday.
