Five Return from Holiday Break with Double Header Weekend

(Greater Sudbury, ON) After a short Holiday Break, the Sudbury FIVE are back and ready for action this weekend at the Sudbury Arena for back-to-back home games on Saturday and Sunday.

The Five return to the court Saturday as they play host to division rivals, the KW Titans. This will be the Titans' first visit to the Sudbury Arena this season, with the Five winning two of the first three contests between the two clubs. The Five will be looking to avenge their defeat in Kitchener just a week ago, where the team lost a close game to the Titans 124-113. Game time at the Sudbury Arena is 7:05 PM.

The Sudbury Five hit the court again on Sunday in an afternoon showdown against the defending champion London Lightning. The Lightning are returning to the Sudbury Arena for the third time this season, with each team winning one of the first two match-ups. Game time is 2:05 PM.

FIVE Enjoying Strong Start to Season

Approaching the mid-way part of the team's inaugural season in the National Basketball League of Canada, the Sudbury Five continue to hold the top spot in the league's Central Division.

Guards Braylon Rayson and Jaylen Bland have both enjoyed strong starts to the season, sitting second and fifth respectively in league scoring. North York, ON native Grandy Glaze has dominated the first portion of the season, leading the league in rebounds (12.4 per game) and sitting fifth in the league in field goal percentage.

Glaze, Rayson, and Bland will all look to continue their strong starts to the season, as they get back to action this weekend.
