
Five Look to Close out First Round Series at Home

(Greater Sudbury, ON) After a pivotal victory at the Sudbury Community Arena Wednesday night, the Five will look to close out their first round series against the St John's Edge Friday at home.
The Five offense was red hot Wednesday night, scoring 124 points on 52.4% shooting. After a close start to the game, a Williams Jr. block on NBA Champion Glen Davis ignited the Five. Helping the team jump on a 14-0 run, Sudbury would hold the lead for the remainder of the game, claiming the victory 124-112. Recently named NBL Canada Newcomer of the Year, Jaylen Bland finished one rebound short of the double-double, leading all players with 31 points and 9 rebounds.
After the team's first-ever home playoff game and home playoff victory, the Five will look to accomplish another feat Friday, winning their first-ever playoff series. Friday's game is sponsored by Mucho Burrito who will be hosting a taco bar for all fans on the court! Limited quantities will be available so get yours before they run out. Mucho Burrito will also be on hand with prizes for lucky fans. Tip-off is set for 7:05 PM.
Fans are encouraged to get to the arena early Friday with the Tailgate party starting at 5:00 PM at the Elgin Street entrance! United Way and the United Five will once again be hosting a free BBQ for the first 200 fans before the game.
