
Fisher's Two Taters Not Enough as Wenatchee Rallies for 10-9 Win

Klamath Falls, OR: Nick Fisher (Linfield College) smashed a pair of two run home, good for four RBI's on the night, but the Gems couldn't hang on to a six run lead and lost their second straight to Wenatchee 10-9 on Friday night at Kiger Stadium in Klamath Falls, OR. Gems broke through with a seven run 1st inning, but Wenatchee answered with a seven run inning of their own in the 5th inning to take the lead for good, and knocking out the Gem's starting pitcher Tyler Johnson (Lane Community College).
C.J. Burdick (San Diego, CA) pitched five innings of impressive relief for Wenatchee and earned his first win. Anthony Olmo (San Mateo Community College) dropped to 0-2, taking the loss for Klamath Falls who remain in 2nd place, tied with the Corvallis Knights in the South Division.
The next Gems game will be Saturday, June 29th as the Gems host the Wenatchee AppleSox at Kiger Stadium with the first pitch at 6:35 pm.
