High School All-Stars fall to Central Oregon Bucks 7-2
June 29, 2013 - West Coast League (WCL)
Bend Elks News Release
The Bucks scored 2 runs in the second, one in the third, and one in the 4th inning as they jumped up early and coasted to a 7-2 victory.
For the Bucks, it was Jarren Larimer that did most of the damage at the plate for the Bucks against the All-Stars, as he went 3-4 in the game with a pair of doubles and a single, driving in a run and scoring twice to help the Bucks get the victory.
The bullpen for the All-Stars was solid after a rocky start, as the combination of Andrew Bright, Sinjin Robinson, and Dalton Hurd were solid as they each held the Bucks scoreless in their relief appearances, but the Bucks added a pair of runs in the 9th inning, due in large part to being issued 3 walks in the inning, and an RBI double from Jake Reynolds to help get the 7th run of the game.
At the plate for the All-Stars, Jonah Koski, from Bend High School, was the only player to record a multi-hit game as the Bucks pitching staff held the All-Star team to only 2 runs on 7 hits in the game. Kyler Ayers, Godlove, Andrew Demonico, and Jack Fine had the only other hits for the All-Stars in the ball game, who were evaluated by 10 collegiate coaches from around the Pacific Northwest that were in the area looking for potential recruits in the coming seasons.
The Bucks begin a 3 game road trip Saturday in Vancouver, WA against the Northwest Star Academy, including a double header on Saturday.
