New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Clear Channel Radio Manchester today announced a one-year extension on their agreement that will keep WGIR 610-AM as the flagship station of the Fisher Cats Radio Network through 2010. The network also has expanded to five radio stations for the next three seasons with the addition of two Great Eastern Radio Stations -WTSL 1400-AM in Hanover for all 142 games and the brand new WKNN 101.9-FM in Keene for select games- joining the likes of Clear Channel stations WGIN 930-AM in Rochester and WGIP 1540-AM in Exeter.

"Our partnership with Clear Channel has been tremendous, providing us with a strong anchor station in WGIR that beams strongly through Manchester north to Concord and south into Northern Massachusetts, as well as the two sister stations that supply us with blanket coverage all the way to the seacoast," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "We look forward to continuing a long partnership with those stations and are very happy to join forces with Great Eastern Radio. Adding WTSL and WKNN will allow us to broaden our coverage in two other areas of the state -the Upper Valley and Keene."

"We had a terrific first season working as the Fisher Cats' broadcast partner and are happy to announce the extension of WGIR as the flagship station of the Fisher Cats Radio Network through 2010," said Clear Channel Vice President and General Manager Joe Graham. "Clear Channel and the Fisher Cats share the same long-standing commitment of serving the community, and we look forward to continuing to work toward this goal together."

"We are excited to create this partnership with the Fisher Cats, so we can supply our Upper Valley and Keene listeners with the chance to follow the team all season long," said Great Eastern Radio Owner Courtney Galluzzo. "WTSL-AM has a longtime tradition of covering local sports, and the Fisher Cats fit in perfectly with that format. And we, like the Fisher Cats, are excited about establishing our identity with the brand new WKNN-FM in Keene."

Bob Lipman and Mike Murphy will continue serving as the radio voices of the Fisher Cats for a fifth consecutive season. The first broadcast of the season will be Thursday night at 6:15pm as the Fisher Cats visit the Connecticut Defenders at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, CT. The Fisher Cats' Home Opener is Thursday, April 10 at 6:35pm against the Defenders. The first 2,500 fans through the gates receive a free Grappone All-Star Magnetic Schedule.
