FISHER CATS OUT TO DEFEND BEST OF BUSINESS CROWN

In 2008, the Fisher Cats won the Best of Business Award from the New Hampshire Business Review, selected as the Best Sporting Event to Bring a Client.

This wasn't an accident; baseball games are a perfect place to talk to a customer in a relaxed atmosphere!

The Fisher Cats have held that title for a year, and the voting is currently underway to select the Best of Business in New Hampshire for 2009.

READING CHALLENGE COMING TO DANBURY

The Fisher Cats Reading Challenge Program sponsored by the Community College System of New Hampshire, is in full swing again this week.

The Fisher Cats visited the Pembroke Hill School on Tuesday, January 13, with 250 students and will stop by the Danbury Elementary School on Friday, January 16, to visit 75 students.

Over the coming months, the Fisher Cats will be visiting several area schools and introducing the CCSNH Reading Challenge. Students are challenged to read five books outside of school to earn tickets to a Fisher Cats game this summer.

BELLETETES TIP OF THE WEEK: CLEAN THAT CLOTHES DRYER VENT!

A build-up of lint in the dryer or its vent pipe not only reduces the efficiency of the dryer but it can also be a fire hazard. This build-up reduces airflow, causing the dryer to work harder and heat up excessively.

There are two things you should do. First, clean out your dryer's vent pipe periodically. Second, clear the dryer's lint screen every time you use it. These two simple steps will help your dryer should run more safely and more efficiently.
