July 20, 2016 - Coastal Plain League (Coastal Plain)
Lexington County Blowfish News Release

LEXINGTON, S.C. -- The Blowfish notched their third victory in a row tonight in a 10-3 bludgeoning of the Florence RedWolves.

Lexington County still hasn't lost to the RedWolves at the Lex.

The tone was set in the first when the Wolves loaded the bases with nobody out but only scored one after Canaan Cropper (South Carolina) induced a double play ball then struck out Robert Jolly (Clemson) to end the inning.

The Fish came right back though when Danny Edgeworth (Mercer) launched a two run bomb over the right field wall-giving Lexington County the lead.

Grant Miller (Western Michigan) kept the party going in the first with a solo home run over the left field wall his second of the season.

Cropper well for the Blowfish picking up his second win of the season only allowing two more runs in his outing.

Lexington County strung together 12 hits throughout the ballgame notching 7 more runs en route to the seven run win at home.

The Fish move within a half game of Savannah for the third spot in the overall standings of the CPL Western Division and remain a full game up on the Forest City Owls who they play tomorrow night from McNair Field.

Tomorrow night's game could be a huge swing in momentum for both teams either pushing the Lexington County lead over Forest City to two games or knotting the two teams even.
