Vermont Lake Monsters News Release
BURLINGTON, VT --- Thursday afternoon might be a great day to call in sick to work or take a really long lunch break because, for the first time in the franchise's 13-year history, the Vermont Lake Monsters will be playing a weekday afternoon game as part of a three-game series with the Auburn Doubleday.
Thursday's businessman special begins at 1:05 p.m. It is Pizza Putt Day at the ballpark with water bottles to be given away to the first 1,000 kids to the game and plenty of sunshine activities are planned at historic Centennial Field.
Fans who use the satellite parking at the hospital and shuttle bus, please note because of the Thursday afternoon start, parking will not be available at the hospital. On Thursday, satellite parking will be at the Gutterson/Patrick Gym parking garage with shuttle bus pick-up/drop-off in front of Gutterson Fieldhouse.
The three-game homestand begins on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. with Chittenden Solid Waste District Night and 600 Durable Polycarbonate water bottles to be given away.
After Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. game will be the annual Superstore Remote Control Dig. Gentlemen who have pre-registered at Centennial Field or on-line at www.vermontlakemonsters.com have a chance to win a TV by digging around the Centennial infield for a buried remote control.
After two games on the road, the Lake Monsters will return for a five-game homestand July 30th through August 3rd against the Boston Red affiliate Lowell Spinners and the New York Yankees affiliate Staten Island Yankees.
