First-place Orange and Blue hosts a pair at Nippert Stadium this week

CINCINNATI - Sitting in first place in the USL Eastern Conference entering the ninth straight week, FC Cincinnati returns to Nippert Stadium for a pair of games this week.

On Wednesday, July 18, FC Cincinnati (11-3-5, 38 pts.) will host the Charlotte Independence (7-6-6, 27 pts.) at 8 p.m. in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN2 and streamed on ESPN3. Three days later on Saturday, July 21, FCC will then welcome New York Red Bulls II (7-5-7, 28 pts.) to Cincinnati for a 7:30 p.m. contest that will be televised on WSTR 64 and streamed on ESPN+. Both games will be carried live on the radio on ESPN 1530 AM.

The Orange and Blue brings an eight-game USL unbeaten run into the week, going 5-0-3 since the start of June. FCC has also posted three straight shutouts overall and has blanked opponents at home at Nippert Stadium in each of its last three outings.

Both of FCC's games this week wrap up the season's home-and-home series between the clubs. Charlotte handed Cincinnati one if its three losses on the season back on May 12 in Matthews, N.C. as the Independence posted a 4-1 win. Danni Konig scored FCC's only goal in the defeat. On June 2, Cincinnati earned a 2-1, come-from-behind victory at New York as Emmanuel Ledesma and Konig rallied FCC in the second half for the road win.

Wednesday and Saturday's games are the second and third games in a seven-game overall - and six-game USL - home stand at Nippert Stadium.
