First-place Extreme ready for Evansville
The Bloomington Extreme, which took over first place in the East Conference of the United Indoor Football League with a 54-47 overtime victory over Rock River, looks to extend its winning streak to a franchise-best six when it returns to action Saturday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
The Extreme, which has a 5-3 record, faces Evansville at 7:05 p.m. The BlueCats have a 2-6 record.
Bloomington won its first overtime game in club history Friday when quarterback Dusty Burk scored his third rushing touchdown on a 2-yard run on the Extreme's first possession in overtime at the Rockford MetroCentre.
U.S. Cellular Coliseum to hold inaugural UIF All-Star Classic
U.S. Cellular Coliseum, the home of the Bloomington Extreme, has been selected as the host site for the inaugural United Indoor Football League All-Star Classic.
The game, which will feature the top players from the Eastern Conference against their counterparts from the Western Conference, will be Aug. 18 at 7:05 p.m. Pre-game festivities will take place Aug. 16 and 17.
