First "Guns and Hoses" Football Game Announced

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning have announced the inaugural "Guns and Hoses" Charity Flag Football Game will be held at Stockton Arena on Saturday, July 29 beginning at 1:00 p.m. PT.

The Stockton Fire Department and San Joaquin Sheriff's Department will face each other on the Stockton Arena turf to raise money for local charitable foundations in the San Joaquin Valley. Tickets for the event are $12, with a portion of the proceeds going to the each of the organizations' charities. Fans who attend will also receive a ticket to Saturday's final home Lightning game that night.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Lightning administrative offices at (209) 373-1500.

Throughout the event fans can also purchase raffle tickets for prizes including Lightning merchandise, 2007 season tickets, dinner at local restaurants, and more.

The Lightning will wrap-up the 2006 season at home against the Central Valley Coyotes, beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 29 at Stockton Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet through www.stocktonlightning.com, courtesy of SportsJuice.com.
