First baseman Juan Camacho sold to the Chicago White Sox

DURHAM, NC-- The American Association announced today that the contract of El Paso Diablos' 1B Juan Camacho has been sold to the Chicago White Sox.

The 24-year-old native of San Carlos, VZ was off to a sensational start for the Diablos. Camacho was hitting .444 with 4HR and 19 runs driven in. He had collected 24 hits with a slugging percentage of .778. Juan was atop or near the top of the league in almost every statistical category. He was first in batting average, runs driven in and slugging percentage, second in on-base percentage, tied for second in home runs, and tied for third in extra base hits. Camacho was an American Association Player of the Week for the first week of the season (May 7-14).

Juan is currently with the White Sox Single A affiliate Kannapolis of the South Atlantic League. He has played in one game for the Intimidators where he went 0-for-3 with 1 SO.
