Lincoln CF Cory Harris hit his second home run of the season and the Satldogs' pitching staff combined to strike out 10 Canaries hitters en route to notching their league-high thirteenth win. With the victory, Lincoln remains atop the North Division leader board. 2B Josh Patton and C Kevin Sullivan were each 3-for-5 for the Saltdogs with a run scored and an RBI apiece. Sioux Falls leadoff hitter Ralph Santana went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and stole his fourteenth base of the year and Canaries LF Abner Arroyo was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the offense in the losing effort.

Sioux City 10, St. Joe 4

Sioux City starting pitcher Tom Lipari scattered 10 hits through seven innings, striking out four and allowing just two runs to pick up his second win of the season. Lipari got plenty of protection from CF Alex Llanos, 1B Dan Meier and DH Mike Richardson who combined to go 9-for-14 with four runs scored and four RBIs. RF Kevin Henry chipped in his second and third home runs of the year and was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Also with a home run for the Explorers was 3B Ryan Gripp, his first of the year. 3B Ben Thomas was 3-for-5 with a run scored in the loss to lead the St. Joe offense.

Coastal Bend 12, El Paso 2

Coastal Bend starting pitcher Derrick Van Dusen allowed just two runs on two hits and struck out seven in seven strong innings of work to nab his second win this season. Aviators 1B Bryon Smith was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBIs and 2B Matt Creighton was 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs to power the Coastal Bend offense. DH Jeff Ontiveros hit his second home run of the season and was 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs. The Diablos managed to plate two runs despite getting just two hits in the contest. With the win, Coastal Bend remains a game and a half in front of Fort Worth for the top spot in the South Division.

Fort Worth 13, St. Paul 2

The Fort Worth offense pounded out 16 hits and starting pitcher Kevin Hull pitched 5.1 solid innings on the road and in front of a sell-out crowd to help the Cats to their tenth win. Hull scattered seven hits and allowed two runs to get his first win of the year. Fort Worth 1B Jordan Foster was 4-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored and six RBIs to lead the Cats' offense. Fort Worth LF Tony Mota also homered, his fourth of the season, and was 2-for-5. Three other Cats' hitters recorded multi-hit games en route to the victory. St. Paul 1B Brian Becker also hit a home run, his second, and drove in the Saints' only two runs in the losing effort.

The game was suspended due to power outage and will be made up as part of a double header on June 9th.
