
Fireworks rescheduled for August 27

VIERA, FL â The Brevard County Manatees have announced today that the fireworks show that was postponed due to Hurricane Charley this past Saturday will be rescheduled to Friday August 27. The fireworks show will take place following the Manatees 7:05 contest versus the Daytona Cubs. All tickets from any previously rained out fireworks show can be exchanged for this game while tickets from any other rainout can be exchanged with an additional cost.
The fireworks show is brought to you by Space Coast Early Intervention Center which is a nationally recognized not-for-profit pre-school and therapeutic center that offers care and maximizes the development of children with special needs and typically developing children. SCEIC depends solely on grants, fund-raising and donations to support the cost of operating the school.
With the rainouts that have occurred in the past two weeks, the Manatees have also announced an updated promotional calendar. The calendar for the remaining 2004 season is as follows:
Wednesday, August 18th, 7:05 pm against the Palm Beach Cardinals. Seniors Night. All fans 55+ receive $1 discount on ticket purchases. Dental Night: area Dentists will be in attendance.
Thursday, August 19th, 5:05 pm DOUBLEHEADER against the Palm Beach Cardinals. The first game is the make up of the game that was rained out on Tuesday, August 3rd at Space Coast Stadium. It's PUBLIX Thursday: present a Publix cash register receipt and receive $2 off your ticket purchase (up to four tickets per cash register receipt). It's also Merchants' Night, another chance for those businesses that took advantage of a discount ticket night earlier in the season to get another fun night out. That's two games for one ticket.
Monday, August 23rd, 5:05 PM DOUBLEHEADER against the Daytona Cubs. This doubleheader is the conclusion of a suspended game back on July 3rd. The Manatees are batting in the bottom of the 2nd inning and leading 5-1 thanks to Wes Carroll's Grand Slam Home Run. This is also SCCU's last Marvelous Monday of 2004. Pick up your discount ticket vouchers at area SCCU locations. NOTE: After game #1 one lucky fan will receive a chance to win $50,000 in the âThrow For The Dough' contest. Get here early to register as we will select a contestant early in the game; complete your entry form immediately upon entering the stadium if you'd like to have a chance to play.
Thursday, August 26th, 7:05 pm against the Daytona Cubs. PUBLIX Thursday: present a Publix cash register receipt and receive $2 off your ticket purchase (up to four tickets per cash register receipt). It's Veterinarians Night; look for local veterinarians to be in attendance. For those that are still nervous about voting after the 2000 elections, we'll have a practice run for you! We have downloaded the races on the ballot for the August Florida Primary and added every important race from county level to presidency. If you want to take a quick look at the candidates squaring off against each other on August 31st and on November 2nd, come on out and get a free ballot at the gate. We're inviting candidates back out to the ballpark for a final opportunity to meet fans. You can complete your ballot and submit it to guest services and we'll tally the votes in the 5th inning and let you know what candidates are projected winners, at least with baseball fans. We've invited a representative from the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Office to be on hand to answer any questions you may have about voting and to register voters. No hanging chads, no butterflies, no undisputed results. Come on out and vote on August 26th!
Friday, August 27th, Post-Game Fireworks courtesy of Space Coast Early Intervention Center (SCEIC). Box and Reserved Tickets are $7 and include a second ticket to Thursday, September 2nd's game. It's J&J Snacks Frozen Lemonade Night (first 1000 fans). Come enjoy a night out with Manatees Baseball and receive a frozen lemonade if you're one of the first 1000 fans in the gate.
Saturday, August 28th, 7:05 pm against the Daytona Cubs. AllStar Corporate Media, Inc.'s Team Photo Night: the first 1000 fans in the gate will receive a 2004 Brevard County Manatees Team Photo. Also, early arriving fans will also receive a free copy of the latest issue of Baseball America!
Thursday, September 2nd, 7:05 pm against the Vero Beach Dodgers. PUBLIX Thursday: present a Publix cash register receipt and receive $2 off your ticket purchase (up to four tickets per cash register receipt). Restaurant Night II. Youth Activities & Salute to Seniors Night.
Friday, September 3rd, 7:05 pm against the Vero Beach Dodgers. Broken Bat Night at the Ballpark. The first 200 fans in the gate will receive a gameâused cracked/broken bat...excellent for collecting autographs! The first 1000 fans in the gate will receive a free collectible Tim Raines Poster courtesy of AllStar Corporate Media, Inc.
Saturday, September 4th, 7:05 pm against the Vero Beach Dodgers. The Coke Road Jams will be at the stadium to start the evening off. Stop by and have some fun with music, prizes, and soft drinks at the Road Jams truck and stage outside the stadium. Then it's inside the stadium where the first 500 fans in the gate will receive a free Uncut Card Sheet of the 2004 Brevard County Manatees Card Sets. More valuable than the card set, this card stock poster of the cards guarantees that no card will ever be lost from the set. Excellent for autographs and framing, you gotta be here early to get one! The night doesn't end there...we'll have an awesome post-game fireworks show to close out our last night game. Box Seat and Reserved Tickets are $7, batter's Box Seats are $11 and all ticket purchases include a bonus ticket to the season finale on Sunday, September 5th
Sunday, September 5th, 1:35 pm. Closin' time...the season finale of the 2004 Florida State League regular season. McDonald's Youth Sports Day. ALL kids and coaches in uniform receive free admission. ALL fans receive a coupon for free McDonald's food from a Brevard County McDonald's restaurant. Fans that purchased tickets for the Saturday, September 4th, game will receive a bonus ticket to this game! Come on out and end the Minor League Baseball season with the Manatees on a Sunday afternoon!
