Florida Firecats News Release
Estero, FL-The Florida Firecats announced today there will be a jersey auction immediately after this Saturday's playoff game at Germain Arena.
The Firecats will be auctioning off their 2004-2005 road white jerseys to the fans after their game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers. Monies raised will be donated to local charities chosen by the Firecats.
"It's a great chance for our fans to grab a piece of team history," said President/GM Chris Vallozzi of the event. "These jersey's were worn during the best stretch of games in franchise history." In the past 2 years the Firecats have gone 27-8 including last years' postseason. With home field advantage secured the team will not have an occasion to wear the jerseys again this year.
The auction will begin shortly after the end of the game. Fans interested in bidding on the game worn jerseys are invited to head to section 119 for the auction. The players will be available for photos and to sign the jerseys as well.
After registering a franchise best 14-2 record and wrapping up home field advantage throughout the playoffs, the Firecats will host the Pioneers for the 2nd time this season on August 13th with the kickoff scheduled for 7:40pm.
