Firecats Bringing Their High Spirits to Grace Church

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats are now 5-0 at home for the 2006 season. In such high spirits, some Firecats players are out and about around Southwest Florida bringing their joy to others in the community.

On Wednesday, June 21, QB Justin Midgett and OL/DL Alfred Peterson will attend Grace Church's Summer Camp in Cape Coral to speak to youngsters from 1pm to 2:30pm. This week is Sports Week at the summer camp and who better than members of the Florida Firecats? Midgett and Peterson will be talking to the kids about the life of a professional athlete and what it takes to be successful on and off the field. The players will also discuss the importance of balancing class work and athletics and how their faith has played such a large role in the lives.

Justin Midgett, who grew up in nearby Port Charlotte, hopes to become a youth minister when his football days are over. Midgett's words of wisdom and inspiration for the kids, should lend a helping hand on Wednesday.

The Florida Firecats are now 8-2 on the year and sit in sole possession of 1st Place in the South Division with 6 games remaining in the regular season. The "˜Cats will look continue their winning ways when they travel to Birmingham to take on yet another division rival, the 6-5 Steeldogs this Saturday June 24th.
