PREVIEW: The Firebirds (0-1) travel to New Orleans on Saturday for their first ever meeting with the expansion VooDoo (1-0) at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Indiana is looking to bounce back after a tough 54-48 loss at home to the Columbus Destroyers, while New Orleans is looking to build on the momentum created by a 42-34 triumph in their inaugural game over the Philadelphia Soul. The VooDoo will have to do their best to stop the Firebirds' ground game, which racked up 66 yards against Columbus including two touchdown runs of 10+ yards. The Firebirds will have to find a way to bottle up VooDoo OS Aaron Bailey, who caught nine passes for 140 yards in the win over the Soul.

Last Week:

Indiana - WR/LB Brett Bech caught five passes for 74 yards and two scores and DS Evan Hlavacek recovered a Jarrail Jackson kickoff return fumble in the end zone as the Firebirds fell to the Destroyers 54-48 before team-record crowd of 14,007. FB/LB Jeff Cogell had three carries for 29 yards, including a 17 yard rumble into the end zone in the first quarter to give the Birds an early 13-7 lead. OS Mike Horacek caught six passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns in his Firebirds debut.

New Orleans - QB John Fitzgerald and OS Aaron Bailey established a solid connection early on, as they hooked up nine times for 140 yards and two touchdowns as the VooDoo beat Philadelphia on their home turf, 42-34. Fitzgerald was 17-of-38 206 yards on the day, including four touchdowns. The VooDoo defense forced two turnovers and was led by DS Chris Pointer, who recorded 11 tackles in the win. Roster Moves:
