Flint Firebirds News Release

FLINT, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds announced on Monday that they have acquired three draft choices from the Peterborough Petes in exchange for defenseman Grayden Strohack.

"The recent acquisitions we have made change the look of our back end and we wanted to give Grayden the opportunity to play regularly," Firebirds General Manager Dave McParlan said. "We feel that the assets will help contribute to success in the near future and the long term."

Flint is receiving the London Knights' 2025 third round pick and Peterborough's 2027 fourth and fifth round picks in the trade.

Strohack has appeared in 32 games for the Firebirds this season and has recorded two assists. He played one game for Flint during the 2022-23 season. The Waterloo, Ontario native was originally selected by Flint in the third round of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection.

"The Firebirds would like to thank Grayden for his efforts and contributions," McParlan said. "We wish him the best in Peterborough."

The Firebirds will return to action on Wednesday night on home ice against the Owen Sound Attack. It's a Buy One Get One Wednesday; any fan who buys a ticket to the game can get a second ticket of equal or lesser value for free. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Dort Financial Center.
