Saginaw Adds Depth on the Wing with Trade for Aidan Castle

Saginaw, Mich. - The Saginaw Spirit have acquired forward Aidan Castle from the Windsor Spitfires, Spirit GM Dave Drinkill announced Tuesday. In exchange, the Spirit send to Windsor their 11th round pick in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection.

"We are excited to add Aidan Castle to our group of talented forwards today," said Drinkill. "He's another experienced player in our league who has proven scoring ability. We feel he will fit right into our style of play, and look forward to working with him as he takes the next step in his hockey career."

Having just yesterday celebrated his 19th birthday, Castle joins the Spirit in the midst of his third OHL season. The Mississauga, Ont. native was among the top 25 rookies in scoring during his rookie season with 15 goals and 28 assists for 43 points in 2021-2022. Originally, Castle was selected 13th overall by the Oshawa Generals in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.

The 6'1" left-shot winger has posted 81 points (36G, 45A) in 151 career games between Niagara and Windsor. So far this year, has two goals and five assists in 20 games with the Spitfires.
