
FireAntz Acquire Tamblyn; Trade McGill

[Fayetteville, NC]- The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), yesterday, completed a trade that sent forward Aaron McGill to the Peoria Rivermen in exchange for forward Corey Tamblyn. The FireAntz also placed defenseman Zach Carriveau on the 30-day IR.
Tamblyn, 24, a 5'10'', 180 pound forward from Bobcaygeon, Ontario played in ninc games for the Rivermen this season, netting three goals and four assists for seven points. He began the season with the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League (CHL) where he tallied five points on two goals and three assists in 16 games played.
FireAntz defenseman Zach Carriveau was also placed on the 30-day IR on Tuesday. He has an undisclosed injury. In nine games played this season Carriveau has nine points on three goals and six assists.
The FireAntz are on the road this weekend as they take on the Mississippi River Kings on Friday and Saturday night. They return to home ice on Friday, January 10th and 11th as they host the Pensacola Ice Flyers.
