Chicago Fire FC News Release
CHICAGO, IL (July 22, 2009) - The Fire PDL team completed their regular season and are preparing for National Playoffs, which begin July 23rd in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Super-20 team has also concluded their regular season and will begin play in the North American Championships on July 30th in Rockford, Illinois.

§ Super-20 team to play in North American Championships - Rockford, IL
CHICAGO FIRE PDL
The Fire PDL team just completed their season on a high note with a final game win against Fort Wayne Fever on July 18th. The team posted a 3-0 win over the Fort Wayne Fever on the road. Goals were scored by Michael Ferguson (Loyola University), Andre Akpan (Harvard University), and Pascal Millien (Tampa University). This win helped bring the team's winning streak to five games to finish out the season. In preparation for the National Playoffs, the PDL team participated in a two day mini-camp in South Bend, Indiana. National Playoffs will begin Thursday, July 23rd as the PDL team takes on London Ontario in Fort Wayne, Indiana. If the team wins, they will face the Kalamazoo Outrage, the only team to beat the PDL this season, on Saturday, July 25th.
"The team is riding a strong finish of the season into the National Playoffs," said Larry Sunderland, Director of Fire Player Development. "We had great training at the mini-camp, and the team is looking forward to competing in playoffs."
SUPER-20 TEAM
While the Super-20 team has no more regular season games, they are busy preparing for the North American Championships which begin July 30th. The team will participate in a two day mini-camp this Sunday, July 26th and Monday, July 27th in South Bend, Indiana, in preparation for the Championships. The team will play their first playoff game next Thursday, July 30th in Rockford, Illinois, but their opponent and time has yet to be determined.
