Final Varsity Classic of '23 Knocks It out of the Park

Wilson, N.C. - Following some great high school baseball at Historic Fleming Stadium this past weekend, the final High School Varsity Classic of '23 was a blast! It was a successful two days of games with (3) games on Friday the 31st and (3) games on Saturday the 1st. Mt. Zion Christian Academy, Christian Community School, Bunn High School, Wake County Home School, Northern Nash, South Central, Wilson Prep, Eastern Christian Home School, John A Holmes, JH Rose, Ayden-Grifton, and Beddingfield all participated in the classic.

The 2022 CPL Eastern Conference Champion Wilson Tobs will open up their 2023 season on Sunday May 28th. This game will feature pregame band Matty Begs and a postgame Firework Extravaganza show. The final (2) Firework Extravaganzas of the season will be Saturday July 1st and Saturday August 5th. Season tickets and ticket packages are on sale now and can be purchased online by going to www.wilsontobs.com or by calling 252-291-TOBS. Get ready to PUMP IT UP !

The Wilson Tobs enter their 27th season as a founding member of the Coastal Plain League. The upcoming season for the Tobs will see an expanded community outreach effort, increased participation in helping the less fortunate, a Pettit Cup Championship team, and a fan experience like you have never seen. We would like to dedicate each successful season to the Wilson Community, Coastal Plain League, Host Families, Corporate Partners, and the Dedicated Fans throughout the city of Wilson. The Wilson Tobs have played host to over 100 alumni taken in the MLB draft and have produced a dozen players who have gone on to play in the big leagues, including Cy Young & MVP winner Justin Verlander.
