Final Pieces to Rafters 2012 Promotional Schedule Announced

Wisconsin Rapids, WI- April 27th, 2012. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced their final 10 promotions for the 2012 season. The promotions include: Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Night, Element Mobile Hawaiian Night, Incourage Community Foundation Night, Mystery Monday, Wisconsin Dells and UWSP Purple and Gold Night, Fey Printing "Turn Back the Clock" Night, Quality Feed and Seed Pet Leash Giveaway and "Bark in the Park" Night, Guaranteed Win Night, and Team Schierl Companies Night round out the 2012 promotional schedule.

On Thursday May 31st the Rafters have partnered with the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce to bring you Chamber Night. This night will highlight our area Chamber of Commerce and will feature a co-branded Rafters 2012 Magnet Schedule Giveaway. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m. with game time slated for 7:05 p.m.

On Saturday, June 9th Element Mobile will present the first ever Rafters Hawaiian Night. Rafters will don Hawaiian themed uniforms and fans will receive Element Mobile leis throughout the night. Element Mobile is also the presenting sponsor of the Hawaiian Rosco P. Rafter Bobblehead. Fans that purchase the special online ticket package for this game and like the Rafters and Element Mobile's fan page will be able to participate in the advanced bobblehead giveaway. Gates will open at 5:05 p.m. for the Saturday evening game and the first pitch is slated for 6:05p.m. More details on this promotion will be released in the near future.

Incourage Community Foundation is the presenting sponsor for the June 11th game as the Rafters take on the Green Bay Bullfrogs. The night will be highlighted with a new tin reusable water bottle giveaway. Gates open at 6:05pm on June 11th so make sure to arrive early to get your Incourage Community Foundation Tin Reusable Water Bottle.

Do you like surprises? Then Monday June 18th is a game you don't want to miss. The Rafters are hosting their first ever Mystery Monday. Fans should stay tune for clues on to what that night will entail. The Rafters battle the Eau Claire Express and gates will open at 6:05pm for the 7:05pm start.

On Wednesday June 20th the Rafters will take on the Eau Claire Express at 7:05pm. Fans will want to wear their purple and gold as we recognize the UW-Stevens Point Alumni. Some fans wearing purple and gold will receive free gifts courtesy of UW-Stevens Point. The game will also feature the Rhapsody Wisconsin Dells Night, and great Wisconsin Dells packages will be given out all night long.

Fey Printing and the Rafters have partnered together again to bring you "Turn Back the Clock" Night. On July 3rd the Rafters will wear replica Twins uniforms from their time at Witter Field in the 1960's, 70's and 80's. The uniforms will be available for silent auction during the game with uniform proceeds going to an area non-profit organization. Don't forget, the July 3rd game will be followed with post-game fireworks, courtesy of Marshfield Clinic

Get your dogs ready! Quality Feed and Seed is excited to bring you the first ever Rafters Pet Leash Giveaway and offer fans a "Bark in the Park" ballpark experience. On July 11th fans will get a chance to receive a Quality Feed and Seed and Rafters Pet Leash and can bring their dogs to the ballpark to enjoy the game with them. There will be no need to get a dog-sitter this night! Gates for the July 11th game open at 6:05pm and the game will begin at 7:05pm.

Tuesday, July 17th will be the ever popular "Guaranteed Win" Night. Gates will open at 6:05pm for the 7:05pm start. If the Rafters lose the night's contest against the Battle Creek Bombers, all fans in attendance following the completion of the game, will receive a ticket to one of the Rafters remaining home games upon exit.

The final homestand of the season will begin on August 10th as the Rafters take on the Lakeshore Chinooks for a three game homestand. The Rafters will be wearing special blue and white uniforms courtesy of Schierl Tire & Service. A silent auction will be held during the game outside the Rafthouse where fans will be able to bid on the game-worn uniforms. Proceeds from the uniform auction will benefit the area Boys and Girls Clubs. Winning bidders will also have the opportunity to have their jersey signed by the player who wore that uniform during the game. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m. for the 7:05 p.m. start time.

Available quantities of all promotional giveaways will vary from event to event and will be available on a first come first serve basis. The best way to guarantee giveaway items is to purchase a 9-Game Pack. All promotions are subject to change.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2012. Opening Day at historic Witter Field is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th at 7:05 pm against the La Crosse Loggers.
