April 4, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL)
Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Greenville, SC - The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, will host Fan Appreciation Night presented by the Hilton Greenville this Friday for the team's final home game of the 2015-16 season. The night is all about YOU, the best fans in the ECHL, and will include giveaways at every whistle, an appearance by former Clemson football star and future NFL Draft pick Kevin Dodd, the Kelly Cup, and more.
A special $10 lower-level ticket is being offered for the game and can be purchased in advance by calling the Swamp Rabbits front office at 864-674-PUCK or by clicking here. There will also be dozens of prizes given away throughout the evening from both the team and its great partners, including the Badcock Furniture recliners currently used for the "Best Seats in the House." The grand prize features a trip for four (4) to University Studios Orlando with airfare and hotel accommodations included courtesy of the Hilton Greenville. In addition, all fans in attendance will be able to enter for a chance to be one of the numerous winners of a Swamp Rabbits game-worn jersey!
The night will kick off with a pre-game Fan Fest beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the plaza. The Fan Fest will feature an appearance by Dodd, a former Clemson Tigers' defensive end and projected 2016 NFL Draft pick. The former Tiger will be available to visit and take pictures with fans until 7 p.m. at the Fan Fest and will sign autographs during the first intermission on the concourse. Dodd attended Riverside High School in Greer and went on to play for the Clemson Tigers, recording 60 tackles and 12 sacks as a starter during his senior season earlier this year. During Clemson's loss to Alabama in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship, he had seven tackles and three sacks.
Along with Dodd, the ECHL's prestigious Kelly Cup championship trophy will also make an appearance at this Friday's game. The Kelly Cup has been awarded to the ECHL's playoff champion for each of the past 18 seasons and has become one of the most prominent trophies in minor league sports. It was named in former league founder/commissioner Patrick Kelly's honor in 1997, one year before he was inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame.
Fan Appreciation Night presented by the Hilton Greenville will also include $2 domestic draft beers, served through the start of the game until 8 p.m. Other $2 concession specials will be available all night long! The festivities will wrap up with a final post-game meet/greet and autograph session with the entire Swamp Rabbits team on the ice!
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the puck drops against the Atlanta Gladiators at 7 p.m. For more information, please contact the Swamp Rabbits over the phone at 864-674-7825.
