Beloit scored twice in the first inning on Thursday night, but the Bees added three unanswered runs to win 3-2. All three games of the series and 22 total Snappers games this season have been decided by one run. The Snappers complete the road trip with a 3-3 record and are still just 3 1/2 games out of the top spot in the Western Division.

Sam McDonnell hit the game-winning solo home run in the sixth inning while Jordan Zimmerman had RBI hits in the first and fifth frames for the Bees. In his first appearance off the disabled list, Nick Highberger surrendered the first home run of the month by a Beloit pitcher.

Edwin Diaz tripled home the first run of the game in the first and was brought home on a ground out by Miguel Mercedes. Diaz singled his next at-bat and had the Snappers only two hits of the game until the eighth inning to finish the trip with two straight games with a pair of hits. Luke Persico smacked his 13th double with two outs and reached third base as the tying run, but he was left stranded 90 feet from home. Snappers starting pitcher Brandon Bailey threw a season-high 75 pitches and five innings while he whiffed six Bees in a no-decision.
