Fightins to Host Doubleheader on June 1

(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils have announced that the team will host the Richmond Flying Squirrels in a doubleheader on Saturday, June 1 at FirstEnergy Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 5:15 p.m. The twin bill will serve as a makeup of an earlier postponement due to inclement weather.

The plaza will now open at 4 p.m., and fans may make their way to the seating bowl at 4:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to participate in the Pregame Fun Run and Walk, presented by Penn State Health St. Joseph, beginning at 4 p.m.

The evening will also feature Happy Hour, with $1 off beer, presented by St. Boniface Craft Brewing, and a pregame concert thanks to Ron Procopio Guitars. Buffets will run from 5:30-8 p.m. as regularly scheduled. Between games will feature a performance by the Mascot Band presented by BB&T.

The teams will play two seven-inning games. After the second game, fans can enjoy a post-game fireworks show, thanks to Penn State Health St. Joseph. Following the fireworks, fans can enjoy a post-game concert and $1 off beer, thanks to St. Boniface Craft Brewing. The post-game festivities will also feature Toss-A-Ball for Charity, presented by Savage 61 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM.
