
Fightins end 2015 with Championship defeat

Reading Fightin Phils News Release
The Reading Fightin Phils (2-3) season came to an end in defeat as the Bowie Baysox (3-2) clinched their first Eastern League Championship with a 7-2 win on Saturday night.
Cameron Perkins hit a solo home run for the Fightin Phils off Baysox starter Joe Gunkel in the top of the fourth inning that gave Reading a 1-0 lead. Garabez Rosa hit a two-run home run off Reinier Roibal in the bottom of the fourth giving the Baysox a 2-1 lead.
Gunkel left the game for the Baysox after allowing just a run through four innings. Game two starter Nick Additon came in relief of Gunkel in the top of the fifth inning. Roibal left the game in the bottom of the fifth inning with one out and two runners on. Edubray Ramos came into the game and recorded back-to-back strikeouts of Mike Yastrzemski and Trey Mancini.
Rosa hit a solo home run off Ramos with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning to extend Bowie's lead to 3-1. Rene Garcia cut the Baysox lead to 3-2 with a two-out solo home run off Additon in the top of the seventh inning. Jimmy Cordero came into the game in the bottom of the seventh in relief of Ramos. Quincy Latimore hit a one-out two run double off Cordero that gave the Baysox a 5-2 lead.
Cordero allowed three runs through 1 1/3 innings. Mike Yastrzemski hit a sacrifice fly off Hoby Milner in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Bowie a 6-2 lead. Ryan O'Sullivan entered the game with two outs in the inning. Corban Joseph scored on an error by JP Crawford that gave Bowie a 7-2 lead.
Andrew Triggs came in to the game in the top of the ninth to close out the game. Harold Martinez reached on an error by Garabez Rosa with two outs. Angelo Mora grounded out to second base to end the game.
Nick Additon (3-0) earned the win after pitching four innings in relief. Reinier Roibal (0-1) took the loss as he allowed two runs through 4 1/3 innings.
