
Fighting Saints "25 Days of Heavenly Prizes" Begins May 6

DUBUQUE, Iowa-The Dubuque Fighting Saints have numerous benefits for their season ticket holders, but the upcoming "25 Days of Heavenly Prizes" will take things to a whole new level. The exclusive season ticket holder promotion starts May 6, and for 25 days straight, the Fighting Saints will be giving away unique prizes to a randomly selected full season ticket holders, many of which provide experiences and opportunities that Fighting Saints have never experienced before. Some of the more unique prizes slated to be awarded to full season ticket holders include being in the war room and officially submitting the Fighting Saints selection for the USHL Entry Draft Phase 1, spending a day with the Anderson Cup, and taking the ice to participate in a shootout during practice with the team.
The contest runs from May 6 through May 30. Only full season ticket holders who have signed up for the 2013-14 season are eligible.
"We've worked hard to develop a list of prizes that will really resonate with our season ticket holders," said Dan Lehv, President of the Fighting Saints. "From the chance to compete in our weekly shootout during practice to the opportunity to stand behind the bench, we're excited about rewarding our terrific fans with these unique opportunities."
The "25 Day of Heavenly Prizes" will start with a bang as the May 6 prize is the chance to be in the war room with the Fighting Saints coaches for the USHL Entry Draft Phase 1 and officially submit the Fighting Saints first draft choice with the league. Unprecedented access for fans continues on May 14, as that day, one lucky season ticket holder will score the chance to get an hour-long coaching session with a Fighting Saints coach and player. On May 18, a fan will win the chance to lead the Fighting Saints onto the ice during a 2013-14 regular season home game. The following day, another full season ticket holder will win the prize of taking the ice and participating in the Fighting Saints weekly shootout competition during practice. On May 26, a full season ticket holder will win the chance to serve as honorary coach of a team during Fighting Saints Tryout Camp and stand on the bench for one tryout camp game in June.
In what may be the most unique giveaway of them all, on May 20, the Fighting Saints will be awarding the prize of being a part of the Fighting Saints promotional schedule, as a theme night for the 2013-14 season will be designed around the winning fan. That night will be "Insert Fan Name Night," with on-ice promotions, music and more dedicated to the selected fan. On the final day of the contest, May 30, the winner will receive the chance to spend a day with the Anderson Cup.
Other prizes include autographed items from the Fighting Saints, a Party Suite for a game during the 2013-14 season, season-long DB&T Club Access, tickets to a Minnesota Wild game, or a merchandise shopping spree. Fans can also win opportunities to have members of the Fighting Saints, including mascot Bernie St. Bernard, visit their school or workplace, as well as earn a chance to be a part of team promotional videos, and co-host a Fighting Saints radio show on Super Hits 106.
"Our season ticket holders are a big part of the reason that we had the best home record in the USHL during the 2012-2013 season," said Lehv. "They are the best ambassadors of Fighting Saints hockey. This month-long promotion will not only reward many of our current fans, but it will immediately introduce new full-season holders to the incredible access that to our players, coaches and staff that being a season ticket holder provides."
