Reno Aces News Release

Twenty-seven years after his memorable role as Ray Kinsella's father in the classic baseball movie Field of Dreams, actor and author Dwier Brown will appear at the Reno Aces' April 29 home game against the Albuquerque Isotopes. First pitch from Greater Nevada Field is set for 6:35 p.m. PDT.

Fans will have the opportunity to have a pregame catch with Brown on the field from 5:35-6:00 p.m. In addition, the actor will be on the concourse from 6:15-8:00 p.m. to sign autographs, take pictures and promote his book, If You Build It...

Brown has performed in hundreds of films, plays and television shows during his 35-year acting career, but the role of John Kinsella changed his life. Most baseball fans will recognize him from the moment when Kevin Costner asks, "Hey Dad? You wanna have a catch?"

Since the movie's release in 1989, Brown has been recognized by dozens of fans that have told him poignant stories about their fathers, and how watching the film changed their lives. Their stories helped Brown put into perspective his own father's unexpected death just a month before he began filming Field of Dreams.

If You Build It... is a memoir about these stories, as well as tales from the set of the movie and from Brown's own childhood.

He is currently on a book tour to baseball fields throughout America. More information about the book and Brown's work is available at www.dwierbrown.com.
