
Fever End Four-Game Roadtrip with Loss in Seattle

SEATTLE - In its first regular season matchup against the Seattle Storm this season, the Indiana Fever suffered a 73-57 loss on Friday night. This is the first of back-to-back games against Seattle, with the second one coming on July 5 at 7 p.m. ET at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
The Fever were led in scoring by rookie center Queen Egbo, who reached a career-high 14 points and 12 rebounds. Rookie forward NaLyssa Smith was next in line with nine points and in her first career start, Lexie Hull added four points and five rebounds.
The Fever committed seven turnovers in the first quarter and went 0-of-5 from the floor in the last 4:29, resulting in a 19-11 deficit.
The Storm began to hit three-pointers in the second quarter, connecting on 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in the quarter. Storm forward Breanna Stewart scored 11 of her 18 first-half points in the second quarter, leading Seattle to a 27-point second quarter and a 19-point lead at halftime.
Indiana was able to keep Stewart relatively quiet in the fourth quarter, as she would end her night with 20 points to go with six rebounds and four steals.
Storm center Ezi Magbegor scored 11 points and forward Gabby Williams scored 10 points. The Storm led the Fever 17-6 in fastbreak points and though they committed 17 turnovers, Seattle also forced 17 turnovers which resulted in 21 points.
