Felicio Earns USHL Defenseman of the Week Honors

MIDDLETON, Wisc. - Coming off of a record breaking season, expectations are high in Madison for defenseman Will Felicio. Although he was held scoreless through the first weekend on the Capitols calendar, Felicio had a strong performance in the team's home opener on Friday against Chicago. Due to his efforts, the 2006-born defenseman earned himself to be named the USHL Defenseman of the Week.

In the team's lone game of the weekend, the Capitols came out hot recording four goals in the first period. Felicio earned himself an assist on two of the four for Madison. He was not done on the scoresheet for the night, though, as the Denver commit jumped up in the play to score his first of the season in the second period. Felicio went a +4 in the Capitols 7-6 win over Chicago.

Felicio and the Capitols hit the road this weekend to face off against the Lincoln Stars on Saturday and Sunday. Puck drop on Saturday is scheduled for 6:05 pm with a 5:05 pm puck drop Sunday.

The team returns home for a two-game series against the Muskegon Lumberjacks on October 13 and 14. The team is designating the weekend as 608 weekend as you'll get a beer and a brat for $6.08 at the games that weekend.
