Bismarck Bobcats News Release

Bismarck, ND, February 18, 2009- Bobcat Hockey players will be going back to school this month. February is reading month and the team would like to help promote literacy in the community by reading to area elementary students. Team members will be joining local classes to read to students during February and into March.

Bismarck goalie, David Bosner is one of the athletes participating this month. According to Bosner, "It is important for us to be active in our community as much as possible. As an organization, we have done much to show children how hard we work on and off the ice to become better athletes. Now, we need to demonstrate what it takes to be a student-athlete, and the dedication necessary to excel in the classroom. We stress that education is the foundation for the rest of their lives."

Bobcat Hockey will continue to promote the importance of education and literacy in schools as well as in the community. If you would like to add your school to this event, please call Elizabeth at the Bobcat Hockey office at 222-3300.

After school you can find the team educating Albert Lea on the ice on February 27th and 28th.
