FC Cincinnati's Season Ticket Renewal Deadline is Today
September 5, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI - Today, Wednesday, Sept. 5, marks the final day of FC Cincinnati's formal 2019 season ticket renewal process.
After today's deadline, all unrenewed seats will be dropped from individual accounts and opened up for the Seat Improvement Process, which begins on Monday.
For fans who need phone support to renew their season ticket memberships, the FC Cincinnati ticket staff will be available until 5 p.m. today at 513-977-KICK (5425). All other fans who still plan to renew before the deadline can do so online at fccincinnati.com/tickets until midnight tonight.
After today, fans will no longer have the opportunity to sign up for the 10-month payment plan, either. Shorter payment plan options will be available later this fall.
"Our fans and supporters have really embraced the early renewal timeline and have renewed at a rate we haven't seen before," Jeff Smith, Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service, said. "That said, we have a sizable percentage of our fans who are looking to move into different seats in 2019, so it's imperative that any current FCC season ticket member who wishes to remain in his or her seats - or opt into the Seat Improvement Process - finalize their renewals today to ensure they have that opportunity.
"While we will still process renewals after today, any seat that is not renewed by midnight will be opened up to other fans in the Seat Improvement Process," Smith continued.
Without accounting for season tickets members that have opted into the Seat Improvement Process and season tickets that are part of corporate sponsorships, FC Cincinnati has already renewed more than 13,000 season tickets for 2019.
Additionally, more than 1,300 new accounts have been opened for the 2019 season. That total is expected to represent several thousand additional new season tickets as each account averages multiple seats.
In 2018, FC Cincinnati sold out of season ticket inventory in June and capped season ticket sales at 18,000. Smith and FCC officials anticipate a season-ticket base of almost 25,000 for the 2019 season.
FC Cincinnati (18-3-6, 60 pts.) continues to lead the USL standings and became the first team to secure a berth in the 2018 USL Cup Playoffs with last Saturday's victory over Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Nippert Stadium.
The Orange and Blue will be back on the road this weekend for a top-of-the-table clash when they travel down I-71 to face Louisville City FC at Louisville Slugger Field on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live on WSTR 64 and streamed live on ESPN+.
