FC Cincinnati Closes out Regular Season at Pittsburgh

FCC, unbeaten in four consecutive games, ends the regular season at Pittsburgh this Sat., (Sept. 24) at 7:00 p.m.

The Orange and Blue took on the 'Hounds last week, playing to a 0-0 tie.

It was just the fourth time this year that the team was held without a goal in league competition.

FCC is 6-4-4 on the road in USL games and is looking to remain undefeated in the month of September with a 2-0-1 mark.

The club's best under Saturday night lights with a 9-2-5 record.

PLAYOFF TICKETS

FCC is currently in the midst of selling playoff tickets to current season ticket holders.

Wednesday, 2017 deposit holders will have an opportunity to secure playoff tickets.

All remaining available seats will be released to the general public Thursday morning.

DELBRIDGE RECEIVES USL NOD

Harrison Delbridge was named to the USL Team of the Week for the third time this year after helping FCC preserve a pair of shutouts.

The defender anchored the FCC back-line in a 0-0 draw at Pittsburgh and a 1-0 win over Orlando City B as the club stretched its shutout streak to three games.

Delbridge has logged 2,427 minutes in all games for the team and made 27 starts in 29 games, including U.S. Open Cup action.

TOWNSEND, STEVENSON TEAM UP FOR GAME-WINNER

Casey Townsend and Eric Stevenson lifted FCC to a 1-0 win last week that clinched third place and a home playoff berth for the first-year franchise.

The pair both sparked the squad off the bench.

Stevenson, who earned his third assist of the year, was a halftime substitution by Head Coach John Harkes.

Townsend entered the match for midfielder Kenney Walker and he and Stevenson would hook up in the 81st minute with Townsend flicking in a pass from Stevenson.

The goal was Townsend's first with his new club and third overall, having scored twice for the Hammerheads.

SHUTOUT STREAK GOES TO THREE

With the 1-0 win, FCC has not allowed a goal in 270 minutes.

Mitch Hildebrandt has been credited with eight shutouts and one shared shutout.

The goalie has 2,518 minutes under his belt and is sixth in the USL in minutes played.

He is sixth in saves with 71 and has a 0.89 goals-against average.

OKOLI ON TOP

Sean Okoli remains in a tie for first in the USL with 15 goals scored.

The forward, however, stands alone at the top of the USL board with 33 points.

Okoli has taken 41 shots on goal and converted all five of his penalty kick attempts.

John Harkes and players Kenney Walker and Casey Townsend will be guests on the final Toyota Coach John Harkes Show this Thursday at Moerlein Lager House from 5:00 - 6:00 PM.

FCC REWRITES USL RECORDS AGAIN

With 24,376 in attendance for FCC's win against Orlando City B last Sat., the club erased the USL's single-game attendance mark for the third time.

FCC previously held the mark with 23,375 and surpassed Sacramento Republic FC's 2015 record (20,231) on Apr. 16 with 20,497 against Louisville City FC.

In their inaugural year, FCC has see more than 300,000 fans in all matches and reached the 250,000 milestone in USL-only contests.

ABOUT PITTSBURGH

Pittsburgh is 6-16-7 entering their final game of the 2016 campaign.

The 'Hounds have logged a pair of ties in their last two matches, posting a 1-1 draw against Bethlehem Steel FC Sunday.

FCC is 1-0-1 against Pittsburgh. The team is led by Corey Hertzog, who has 13 goals on the year and 30 points. Kevin Kerr has four goals and four assists for 12 points.
