OPENING THE ACCOUNT - Offseason signing Yair Ramos scored his first goal for the Orange and Blue in the team's last match against New York Red Bulls II. Ramos has been an early season mainstay in Tyrone Marshall's midfield, starting all three matches and logging an average of 83 minutes per match.

Ben Stitz tallied his first goal of the campaign against New York after scoring seven goals in 2023. Stitz also registered an assist on Ramos' 66th minute goal against Red Bulls II, marking his first career MLS NEXT Pro match with multiple goal contributions.

A GOLDEN BOOT WINNER - FC Cincinnati Academy U17 forward Stefan Chirila, who made his MLS NEXT Pro debut with FCC 2 this season against Chicago Fire FC II, took home the Golden Boot for the U17 age group at this year's Generation adidas Cup in Bradenton, Florida. The forward scored five goals across qualifying matches including a hat-trick against Philadelphia Union in the group stages of the competition.

Chirila joins Blake Bayless and Justin Hylton as FC Cincinnati Academy players to make their MLS NEXT Pro debut in 2024.

THE LAST MEETING - FCC 2 took three points from New England Revolution II in the last meeting between the two sides at Scudamore Field in a 2-1 win on June 18, 2023. Gerardo Valenzuela scored the match-winning goal in the 51st minute as the Orange and Blue held off a late New England charge late in the match.

New England Revolution II are coming off their best season in MLS NEXT Pro after finishing second in the Eastern Conference and making a trip to the Eastern Conference Final on the back of a club-record 14-win campaign. Revs II have split a pair of 2-1 results to open the 2024 season, falling to Philadelphia Union II on March 24 and picking up a win against expansion side Carolina Core FC on March 31.

Revs II will have to navigate the 2024 season without last year's leading goal scorer in Jordan Adebayo-Smith, as New England watched the 23-year-old striker make the move to Minnesota United in January. New England have brought in a number of attacking options to replace Adebayo-Smith's production, most notably Alex Monis who scored six goals for Chicago Fire FC II last season. Joining Monis up top are forwards Andrej Bjelajac and Liam Butts, who enter their first season with the club.

A strong defense helped power New England up the Eastern Conference standings as Revs II finished the year with eight clean sheets, tied for the fourth most across MLS NEXT Pro. The Revs II backline remains anchored by Joao Souza who made 28 appearances last season while leading all Revs II defenders in clearances (119) and aerial duels (70).

New England is led by first-year Head Coach Richie Williams following Clint Peay's appointment to the Revs first team coaching staff. Williams spent the last five seasons as a first team assistant after joining the club in 2019. Williams previously managed Loudon United of the USL Championship and served as an assistant coach with the U.S. Men's National Team from 2017-18.
