
FC Barcelona to Hold Training Session at Toyota Park

Bridgeview, Ill. (July 16, 2008) - TOYOTA PARK and the Chicago Fire announced today that legendary Spanish side FC Barcelona will hold a training session at TOYOTA PARK on Friday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. This open training session is in advance of the team's Chicago stop on their "On Tour â08" which features the club playing Mexico's Club Deportivo Guadalajara at Soldier Field on Sunday, Aug. 3 at 6 p.m.
Tickets for this once in a lifetime event are now on sale at the TOYOTA PARK box office and via all Ticketmaster outlets including ticketmaster.com. Tickets for the event are $20 for the general public and $10 for Chicago Fire full, half, and flex season ticket holders.
TOYOTA PARK premium seat holders will receive complimentary tickets to this event which will be for their exact suite or seat location. Fire season ticket holders will receive an email with a ticket request form and need to return it via fax to the TOYOTA PARK Box Office at 708.496.6054. The deadline for season ticket holders to request these discounted tickets is Friday, July 25th at 3 p.m. These discounted tickets will not be available on Aug. 1. The price of tickets on the night of the event will be $20.
Parking for the event is free and TOYOTA PARK lots will open at 5:30 p.m. with gates to the stadium opening at 6 p.m.
The Spanish giant, whose honors include 18 La Liga trophies, a record-setting 24 Copa del Rey championships and two UEFA Champions League titles, will play two matches during their 2008 trip - the other against the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Giants Stadium.
CD Guadalajara, the first place season finisher in the Clausura 2008 - the Mexican League's winter season - are led by Mexican National Team stars Ramon Morales, Johnny Magallon, Luis Ernesto Michel and Alberto Medina.
Tickets for the Aug. 3 game are available via chicago-fire.com, by calling 888.MLS.FIRE and via all Ticketmaster outlets including ticketmaster.com. There is also a special 2-pack offer which includes a ticket to Aug. 3 match and the Fire's Saturday, Aug. 2 game vs. Chivas USA at TOYOTA PARK.
