Fayetteville Force News Release

The Fayetteville Force announced today that it has signed wide receiver Prentice Quince to a contract for the 2011 season. The Boynton Beach, Florida, native played collegiately at Tallahassee Community College and has played indoor football in Fayetteville since 2008.

Quince returns to Fayetteville indoor football as a member of the Force after spending three years with the Guard. He joins former Guard teammate Walter Ford in a Force aerial attack that also features former Guard receiver Jay Jackson. Last season, Quince came into his own in Fayetteville as he recorded 37 receptions for 567 yards and 14 touchdowns, each of which seemed to come at the right time. Also a defensive back, Quince recorded an interception for the Guard in 2010. With new QB Lamar Little at the helm and an array of weapons around him, Quince is expected to see a lot of passes thrown his way as the Force open up the passing game.

"Prentice gives us a quality talent at the receiver position," said head coach Marquette Smith. "He has a tendency to make big plays at critical points in the game, and his clutch performance allows us to compete in close games. I'm really looking forward to watching our offense open a few eyes in the SIFL this season."

Quince is not only a productive player on the field, but he looks to make an impact outside the lines as well.

"This is my fourth year playing in Fayetteville, and I love it here," said Quince. "I love working out in the community and talking to the kids. On the field, the only thing that's on my mind is winning a championship. I'm a team player and an unselfish teammate, and I can't wait to see what we can do this year."

The Fayetteville Force will kick off the upcoming season in March 2011 and will play all of its home games at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, NC. Ticket packages for the 2011 season are now available with season tickets available for as low as $60.00. Tickets are available by visiting the Force on the web at www.fayettevilleforce.net or by calling the Force offices at (910)920-9200.
