PEARL, MS -- RHP Cody Fassold has been transferred to High-A Lynchburg from Double-A Mississippi.
Fassold, 25, was had a 6.00 ERA in six relief appearances with the M-Braves. He was acquired by the Atlanta Braves from Kansas City in exchange for cash considerations on June 26. Prior to joining the M-Braves, Fassold was 1-2 with a 3.57 ERA in 23 outings for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. In five games during the month of June, Fassold posted a 2.08 ERA. He also made two scoreless spot-starts. The Oregon native was originally signed by the Royals as a non-drafted free agent on June 10, 2011.
The Mississippi roster has 24 active players and 6 disabled.
