
Blue Wahoos Announce Full 2015 Schedule

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The fun and excitement of Blue Wahoos baseball will awake from offseason hibernation beginning on Thursday, April 9 when the league newbies, Biloxi (Milwaukee Brewers), come to Pensacola to open up the 2015 slate. The Wahoos will make their first trip to the new division rival August 12-16.
2015 will be Biloxi's first year in the league after moving from Huntsville following the 2014 season. As a result, the league is realigning with Montgomery moving to the North Division and Biloxi joining Pensacola, Mississippi, Mobile and Jacksonville in the South.
The team will host 18 fireworks shows in 2015 - 12 Saturday nights, five "Out of School" Tuesday displays on June 9, July 21 and August 11, 18 and 25 and an Independence Day show on July 3. Although the Blue Wahoos play in Mobile on the 4th of July, the stadium will be open for another Family Day where fans can enjoy a day at the ballpark leading up to the Sertoma Club's annual fireworks show over Pensacola Bay.
The Blue Wahoos are also at home for Memorial Day (May 25) and Labor Day to close out the season (September 7). Pensacola is also home for Father's Day (June 21).
Pensacola will play host to Sunshine State rival, Jacksonville, and Bay-to-Bay rival, Mobile, for 10 games each. Jacksonville will make its first trip to the Bayfront Stadium June 6-10. The first installment of the Bay-to-Bay series with Mobile will happen June 17-21 to close out the first half.
The Blue Wahoos have 10 home games in April, all against Biloxi, 15 in May, 10 in June, 15 in July, 15 in August and 5 in September to close out the regular season. The 140-game schedule will be completed in 152 days with Pensacola closing out the season against Mobile. The 2015 season features a pair of 10-game homestands and a seven-game home stretch. The 10-gamers are May 16-25 and August 18-27 and the 7-game hometsand is July 19-26. The team has three 10-game road trips.
The first half ends on June 21 before the three-day Southern League All-Star Break (June 22-24). The All-Star game is on Tuesday, June 23 at the home of the Biscuits in Montgomery.
