Fargo Force News Release

The Force (3-7-2-1) are back on the road this weekend for a game at the Ice Box vs. the Lincoln Stars (10-3-1-0) on Friday night followed by their first matchup with Sioux Falls (4-9-0-0) of the 2021-22 season.

Plagued with injuries the Force dropped two games to the Musketeers last weekend but look to turn that around it around with matchups against two of their biggest Western Conference rivals.

The Force delt the Stars one of their 4 losses with a 5-4 victory back in early October. Since then, Lincoln has gone 6 in 1 dropping their only game to the Waterloo Black Hawks 8-4 back on Oct. 23rd.

This will be the first time the Force have faced off against Sioux Falls since March 27, 2021. Last season Fargo went 8-2 against Sioux Falls and look to add to that winning record this weekend. The Stampede have dropped all 4 of their November games in regulation and like the Force will come into Saturday's game with something to prove.

The Stars are led in points by forward Aidan Thompson (2G-15A) who has been huge in creating scoring opportunities for Lincoln. He's followed on the leaderboard by defenseman Dalton Norris (5G-9A) and forward Noah Laba (3G-9A). Stars goaltender Cameron Whitehead is 6-0-1-0 on the season and is currently ranked 2nd in the USHL with a 1.75 GAA and .944 SV%.

Stampede veteran Garrett Pinoniemi is the current point leader for Sioux Falls with 4 goals and 7 assists. Other key offensive contributors for the Stampede include Sam Harris (2G-6A), Blake Humphrey (4G-3A) and Daniel Russell (3G-3A)

The Force are led in points by forwards Andre Gasseau (6G-3A) and Cole Knuble (4G-5A) the top three is rounded out by defenseman Trevor Griebel who with 8 assists in 11 games has been a key skater on the Force blue line. Fargo is backstopped by Anton Castro and Louden Hogg; both made some huge saves in last weekend's contests to keep the Force within striking distance.

Following the games on the road this weekend the Force make a trip to Sioux City for a mid-week game on Wednesday and then return to Scheels arena for a game on Black Friday (all tickets are just $5!) and Honor Flight Night on Saturday, complete with a specialty puck drop, a specialty jersey auction and more! Tickets are available online via www.ticketmaster.com.
