Fans Win Vans HarbourCats, Baggins in Shoe Deal
March 6, 2015 - West Coast League (WCL)
Victoria HabourCats News Release
VICTORIA, B.C. - It's that out-of-the-shoebox kind of thinking that makes a baseball game more than, well, a baseball game - into an event, where winning is guaranteed.
The Victoria HarbourCats and Baggins Shoes, a well-known local shoe store on Lower Johnson, are teaming up on a fan-focused nightly prize that is sure to create some happy feet.
Introducing - THE BAGGINS BLAST!
This season, at all regular season (and playoffs, think positively!) home games, when the HarbourCats hit their first HOME RUN of the game at Sports Traders Diamond, a lucky winner will be drawn to win a FREE pair of HarbourCats-branded Vans shoes, courtesy Baggins Shoes.
For the past year, HarbourCats fans have been able to choose between three designs of Vans and Converse shoes for adults and children, with custom sizing and selections available through Baggins Shoes store on Lower Johnson.
"Baggins has a great brand in this community, and is a perfect partner for us in creating a unique baseball merchandising product in our market - the reaction to the shoe deal last year was overwhelmingly positive," said General Manager Jim Swanson.
"Now we get to bring that partnership into game action, directly, and make a fan happy every time one of our players hits the first HarbourCats home run of the game. It's excellent prizing."
Baggins sells the Vans shoes for $89.99, and the Converse version for $99.99, available through their store.
HARBOURCATS HOME GAME TICKETS ON SALE, ON-LINE
HarbourCats fans can get to the front of the line now by going on-line to purchase tickets for the 2015 season - that includes Opening Day (June 5), Father's Day (June 21), the added number of day games this season, and special Fireworks Games, slated for June 6, June 30, and August 3.
