Fanfest Set for Saturday at McMahon Stadium

Fanfest delivered by Skip TheDishes is back again as the Stampeders' annual pre-season event will be held at McMahon Stadium this Saturday, May 11.

This free event is suitable for the entire family and gets under way with a pancake breakfast and live music at 9 a.m. in the East parking lot.

The activities move inside the stadium at 10 a.m. with interactive inflatables, partner activations and games on the field including the Mayfair Diagnostics Combine Zone and the WestJet Kids Zone. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Stamps players and coaches from the 2018 Grey Cup championship team, get autographs and pose for a photo with the Grey Cup.

Fans can also enjoy free samples of new food and beverage items from McMahon's concessions including pillow donuts with cinnamon sugar and Nutella dip, smoked Mennonite sausage with bacon cheddar jalapeno corn bread and smoked meat sandwich samples. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase game tickets for the 2019 season and browse through the new Stamps gear at the Stamps Store.

Players scheduled to appear are Markeith Ambles, Nick Arbuckle, Reggie Begelton, Brad Erdos, Don Jackson, Michael Klukas, William Langlais, Rob Maver, Wynton McManis, Bo Levi Mitchell, Ese Mrabure, Rene Paredes, Charlie Power, Justin Renfrow, Tre Roberson, Richie Sindani and Jamar Wall.

Maver, the winner of the 2018 Herm Harrison Memorial Award winner for his tireless community involvement, will be honoured at Fanfest.

President and general manager John Hufnagel as well as head coach Dave Dickenson and members of his staff will also be in attendance as will Ralph the Dog and Quick Six the Touchdown Horse and rider Chelsea Drake.

The Fanfest fun continues until 2 p.m.

The Stampeders' Ticket Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as season-ticket holders will be able to pick up their 2019 ticket packages. The Stamps Store will also be open during those hours.
