Storyline

The playoff picture in the Central Division remains cloudy as the just seven points separate second place Austin and the fifth place Wilderness. The Tauros sit in third despite having the second most wins in the division, with 57 points one point behind the Austin Bruins. The Tauros will be looking to put on a good show with the families in Minot for the Minotauros annual family weekend.

Tauros

The Tauros make their return to the Maysa Arena for the first time in a month after playing six game in a row on the road. The schedule sets up favorably for a playoff run for the Tauros with nine of the Tauros final 12 games being played at the Maysa. The Tauros are 15-6-0 at home this season. The Tauros have won 10 of their last 13 games and have played some of their best hockey of the season over that stretch out scoring opponents 47-25 during that run.

Keenan Lund leads all scorers in the Tauros/Wilderness season series with five goals and five assists despite missing two of the first six meetings with injury. Wilmer Skoog is second on the Tauros against the Wilderness with eight points against the Wilderness this year. Overall on the season David Raisanen has taken over the team lead with 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points on the year.

Wilderness

Dylan Johnson has been a Tauro killer with six of Minnesota's 14 goals in the season series. Jack Johnson is the only other Minnesota player with at least a point-per-game on the season series for Minnesota on a goal and five helpers.

The Wilderness sit a few slots behind the Tauros on both offense and defense with the seventh ranked offense scoring 3.13 goals-per-game compared to the Tauros fourth ranked output of 3.38. Defensively they allow a 13th ranked 2.89 goals-per-contest while the Tauros sit 10th a 2.73.
